تمر اليوم الذكرى العاشرة لمجزرة الغوطة التي ارتكبتها عصابة الأسد المجرم بحق أهلنا السوريين بتاريخ 21 آب 2013 في العديد من مناطق ريف دمشق.

 حيث بدأت مليشيات الأسد فجراً بحملة قصف أرض _أرض عبر صواريخ مزودة برؤوس كيماوية على مناطق عديدة منها زملكا وعين ترما وكفر بطنا وعربين في الغوطة الشرقية، والمعضمية في الغوطة الغربية، مما أدى إلى وقوع مجزرة وحشية راح ضحيتها أكثر من 1500 شهيد مدني بينهم الكثير من النساء والأطفال ماتوا اختناقاً واصابة الآلاف بحالات اختناق في مشاهد مؤلمة شكلت وصمة عار على جبين الإنسانية.

ورغم صدور القرار 2118 الذي أكد على ضرورة تدمير الأسلحة الكيماوية في سوريا، ومحاسبة المسؤولين عن ارتكاب تلك المجزرة، لكن حتى الآن مازال المجرمون خارج قبضة العدالة، وهو ما شجعهم على التمادي في ارتكاب المزيد من الجرائم بالسلاح الكيماوي وكافة صنوف الأسلحة التي تجلب الموت للسوريين طيلة السنوات الماضية.

إننا إذ نستذكر هذه الفاجعة الأليمة فإننا نترحم على شهداء كيماوي الغوطة وكل شهداء الثورة السورية، ونؤكد أن تضحياتهم لن تذهب هدراً دون محاسبة هذه العصابة المجرمة، والكفاح من أجل بناء سوريا حرة عادلة لكل أبنائها بعيداً عن الاستبداد والطغيان.

Statement On the Anniversary of the Ghouta Massacre

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Ghouta massacre committed by the criminal Assad regime against our Syrian people on August 21, 2013, in several areas of the Damascus countryside

At daybreak, Assad's militias started a campaign of ground-to-ground missile shelling equipped with chemical warheads on various areas, including Zamalka, Ain Tarma, Kafr Batna, and Arbin in Eastern Ghouta, as well as Muadhamiya in Western Ghouta. This led to a brutal massacre, caused more than 1500 civilian martyrs, including many women and children who suffocated to death. Thousands more were afflicted with cases of suffocation in distressing scenes that cast a shameful stain on humanity

Despite the issuance of Resolution 2118, which emphasized the necessity of destroying chemical weapons in Syria and holding those responsible for committing this massacre accountable, the criminals remain outside the grasp of justice to this day. This has emboldened them to persist in committing more crimes using chemical weapons and all forms of arms that have brought death to Syrians throughout the past years

 As we remember this painful tragedy, we mourn the martyrs of the Ghouta chemical attack and all the martyrs of the Syrian revolution. We affirm that their sacrifices will not be in vain, and this criminal regime will be held accountable. Our struggle continues to build a free and just Syria for all its citizens, far from tyranny and oppression
