تتابع الحكومة السورية المؤقتة باهتمام إجراءات الملاحقة الجنائية التي تتخذها الوحدة المتخصصة في الجرائم ضد الإنسانية وجرائم الحرب لدى القضاء الفرنسي ضد رأس النظام المجرم وأعوانه، وذلك في قضية قصف الغوطة الشرقية بالأسلحة الكيماوية في شهر آب من عام 2013. 

إننا نرحب بهذه الخطوة الهامة التي يقوم بها القضاء الفرنسي، ونحث جميع الدول على اتخاذ إجراءات الملاحقة الجنائية التي تفضي إلى محاسبة أفراد عصابة الأسد وكل المتورطين معها بارتكاب الجرائم بحق الشعب السوري.

كما نشدد على ضرورة إنشاء محكمة جنائية خاصة وإنهاء ظاهرة الإفلات من العقاب لعصابة الأسد، والتي جعلت منه مثالاً يحتذى به في الإجرام كما يحصل اليوم في غزة، ونؤكد على استعدادنا للتعاون ودعم كافة الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى ملاحقة عصابة الأسد المجرم وتحقيق العدالة للشعب السوري. 

Statement on Support of Criminal Prosecution Efforts Against the Criminal Assad Regime 

The Syrian Interim Government closely follows the criminal prosecution measures taken by the specialized unit for crimes against humanity and war crimes within the French judiciary against the head of the criminal regime and his accomplices. This pertains to the case of the bombardment of Eastern Ghouta with chemical weapons in August 2013

We welcome this significant step taken by the French judiciary and urge all countries to take legal measures leading to the accountability of the Assad regime and all those involved in committing crimes against the Syrian people 

We emphasize the necessity of establishing a special criminal court and ending the impunity of the Assad regime, which has made it an example of criminality, as is happening today in Gaza. We affirm our readiness to cooperate and support all international efforts aimed at pursuing the criminal Assad regime and achieving justice for the Syrian people
