في سياق الجهود المستمرة لتحقيق العدالة والمساءلة، أصدرت محكمة الجنايات العسكرية في الراعي اليوم حكمها بإدانة مرتكبي جريمة اغتيال الناشط محمد عبد اللطيف أبو غنوم وزوجته -رحمهما الله- في مدينة الباب مطلع شهر تشرين الثاني عام 2022.

يأتي هذا الحكم القضائي ضمن مهام المتابعة من قبل الحكومة السورية المؤقتة والتعاون البنّاء مع المؤسسة القضائية والجيش الوطني، والتقيد التام باتباع نهج يقوم على المحاسبة وعدم السماح للمجرمين بالإفلات من العقاب، وتعزيز الالتزام بمعايير القانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان.

وبهذه المناسبة، تشدد الحكومة السورية المؤقتة على الالتزام بتعزيز دور العدالة وعدم التهاون ضد كل التهديدات التي من شأنها أن تنال من الأمن والاستقرار في المناطق المحررة.

Statement

Regarding the Judicial Ruling Issued in the Case of the Assassination of Activist Mohammed Abdul Latif and His Wife, May They Rest in Peace

In the context of ongoing efforts to achieve justice and accountability, the Military Criminal Court in Al-Rai issued today its ruling convicting the perpetrators of the assassination of activist Mohammed Abdul Latif Abu Ghanoum and his wife, may they rest in peace, in the city of Al-Bab at the beginning of November 2022 

This judicial ruling comes as part of the follow-up duties of the Syrian Interim Government and constructive cooperation with the judicial institution and the National Army, with full commitment to an approach based on accountability, not allowing criminals to escape punishment, and reinforcing adherence to the standards of international humanitarian law and international human rights law

On this occasion, the Syrian Interim Government emphasizes its commitment to enhancing the role of justice and not tolerating any threats that could undermine security and stability in the liberated areas
