في الوقت الذي تواصل فيه ميليشيات PKK/YPG الإرهابية ارتكاب انتهاكات جسيمة ضد الرجال والنساء والأطفال، تعتزم هذه الميليشيات إجراء ما يسمى بالانتخابات البلدية في المناطق التي تحتلها لتعزيز أجندتها الإنفصالية وهو ما يتعارض مع قرار مجلس الأمن الدولي رقم 2254 و مع هوية سوريا وتاريخها وتطلعات أبناء شعبنا سواءً في داخل البلاد أو خارجها. والهدف الأساسي من هذه الانتخابات البلدية المخطط إجراؤها وفق العقد الاجتماعي المزعوم هو تعزيز إقامة كيان انفصالي.

إن التحضيرات المتعلقة  بهذه الانتخابات تجري بناءً على تقسيمات إدارية أنشأها هذا الكيان لفرض سيطرته على مقدرات شعبنا، وكل مرحلة من مراحل ما يسمى بالانتخابات البلدية التي سيجريها التنظيم الإرهابي ما هي إلا ممارسات تشبه تلك التي استخدمها نظام الأسد المجرم خلال سنوات هيمنته على الشعب السوري.

إننا في الحكومة السورية المؤقتة نؤكد من جديد على أن مستقبل الشعب السوري يجب أن يقرره جميع السوريون وفق المبادئ التي أقرتها الثورة السورية المباركة وقرارات مجلس الأمن الدولي. ويجب أن تبدأ هذه العملية بإنشاء هيئة حكم انتقالي وتهيئة الظروف اللازمة لبيئة آمنة ونزيهة، مما يُمكّن من إجراء عملية انتخابية شرعية.

وفي هذا السياق، ندعو جميع الدول المعنية بالشأن السوري إلى إدانة الخطوات الانفصالية التي تتخذها ميليشيات قسد ووقف دعمها لهذا الكيان المنفصل عن تطلعات الشعب السوري، ونُعرب عن تضامننا مع الأحزاب الوطنية التي ترفض هذه الإجراءات غير الشرعية في شمال شرق سوريا.

Statement

Regarding the SDF Militias' Conduct of so-called Municipal Elections in Occupied Territories

In a troubling environment where PKK/YPG continues to commit grave violations against Syrian men, women and children SDF militias are planning to hold “municipal elections” contrary to the UN Security Council Resolution 2254 to advance their separatist agenda. These actions contradict Syria's identity, history, and the aspirations of its people both within and outside the country. The primary objective of these planned “municipal elections” which is based on the “Social Contract” is to further the establishment of a separatist entity

Preparations for these elections are ongoing based on administrative divisions established by this entity to enforce its control over the Syrian people. Every stage of “local elections” is under the control of terrorist organizations. These tactics resemble those employed by the Assad regime during its years of control over the Syrian people

As the Syrian Interim Government, we reaffirm that the future of the Syrian people should be determined by all Syrians, guided by the principles of the Syrian Revolution and in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. This process must begin with the establishment of a transitional governing body and the creation of conditions necessary for a secure and impartial environment, which would enable a legitimate electoral process

Consequently, we urge all countries involved in the Syrian issue to denounce the ongoing separatist actions by the SDF militias and to withdraw their support from this entity that is detached from the aspirations of the Syrian people 

We stand in solidarity with national parties that reject these unlawful proceedings in northeastern Syria
